In this book, seven of India’s seniormost architects speak to Narendra Dengle.
Conducted under the auspices of Forum for Exchange and Excellence in Design (FEED), Pune in the presence of students and faculty, these discussions were intended for students, academics, professionals and all those with an interest in architecture to get a rare inside view on the thought processes of master architects.

The discussions with Achyut P. Kanvinde, Raj Rewal, Anant Raje, Hasmukh C. Patel, Balkrishna V. Doshi, Uttam C. Jain and Charles Correa tackle social, interdisciplinary and contextual issues, their early years and struggle in the profession, their urban design and creative convictions.

Narendra Dengle began his architectural practice in 1974. His work centres on cultural-contextual issues. Based in Pune, he is also a writer and academic. He has taught at the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, was the Chair of Design at Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute of Architecture (KRVIA) Mumbai (2006–11) and is currently Academic Chair at the Goa College of Architecture. His book Jharoka (Marathi) was published in 2007. He co-authored with M.N. Ashish Ganju The Discovery of Architecture: A contemporary treatise on ancient values and indigenous reality in 2013. He has made films on architecture appreciation. For more information see www.narendradengle.in
